ROCKMAN ROGUES
BOOK II OF THE HUNTER TRILOGY
GLOSSARY

I-D-TEN-T:  When written, spells idiot, a common vocal term used by technicians for incidents that were in simple terms, stupid and easily avoidable. I-D-TEN-T Award is given to the team member to do the most stupid things in a month, determined by a point system for action, style and repetition.

Reploid: Abbreviation for Replicated Humanoid. The only sentient life form both bionic and organic and capable of copying abilities from Mavericks and other Reploids. This new race was created by Dr. Light.

Maverick: A self-sustaining machine meant to do common tasks. Turned into weapons by Dr. Wiley.

Copy-shot: A secondary-fire round capable of allowing Reploids to take the targets abilities/form     for short period of time. Introduced in Rockman X7 as Axel's main weapon.

Buster weapon: A weapon capable of the same power as the buster attack that Reploids have. Generally     used by human soldiers.

Sabers: Comes in two forms in the story. The Z-Saber (Zero) and the Buster Saber (Protoman/Zero)

Z-Saber: Main weapon of the Reploid called Zero. Capable of assuming other forms from defeated enemies. Was the ability do deflect most projectile attacks

Buster Saber: A blade that functions exactly like the Z-Saber, minus the copy ability. Like the Buster Weapon, the blade is housed within the arm.

Overdrive: a special ability lost to the Reploids after the Wiley Virus incident. The Overdrive allows a Reploid to use their Base Weapons Protocol such as Buster shot, the most common attack, and the lesser known Buster Saber ability.

Zero and Protoman's overdrive: Zero's overdrive abilities are the most unique since they are based on the concept of jutsu (Technique) like in the anime Naruto. They are as follows:

[genjutsu] Illusion Technique. A technique the attacks the mind rather than body.
[ninjutsu] Ninja Technique. A technique that allows the user to do actions otherwise impossible (such as making copies of himself  or creating energy based explosions.
[Taijutsu] Body Technique. Also known as hand to hand/weapon combat.
[Kenjutsu] Sword Technique. Bladed weapon abilities used by Shinobi/Samurai.
[Kinjustu] Forbidden Technique. Given title for being harmful (ie. self sacrificing technique) or violates law of nature (ie. Raising the dead)

Omegadrive: Also known as Final assault and is the third Overdrive ability. This ability uses the most power out of all three Overdrive and is called final assault, since it generally leaves the user completely depleted of it's power core. If the Reploid is strong enough, or hasn't used the other overdrive phases, however, they can use the ability more than once.

Chaos Limit Break: Like the Omegadrive, this ability is a final assault that rather than uses the base combat functions, uses the host of the attack as a catalyst for the assault. A suicide attack that completely destroys the user, the target, and unlike the Omegadrive, a catastrophic area around it. There are no records of any Reploid having ever survived this type of attack, and is considered forbidden in lieu of the protocols that are pre-programed. The only way to use this ability is the complete possession of the Chaos Command.

Book III chapter II title: Ciel's Remorse: Title taken from flash music video portal at     http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/276882. A beautiful fan concept of love, loss, and sorrow based on the Rockman Zero game titles. 5/5 pieces of Tri-Force. Highly recommended. Check it out... title used under the creative commons act.
