The kingdom of Hyrule, also called the Golden Land. This land is protected by the Goddesses Din, Nayru and Farore and has been a place of lasting peace. However, it wasn't always like this. At one time in it's history, It was a war ravaged kingdom torn between the light and the darkness. The prince of the Dark World, a monster by the name of Gannondorf, sought the sacred prize of the land, a relic of the goddesses called the Tri-Force. When the world had reached it's darkest hour, a lone warrior, garbed in clothes that were green as the fields, stepped forth and challenged the monster.
In a long and grueling battle, the warrior found himself about to fall at the hands of the monster that could not be harmed by his weapons. With only a lone, silver arrow left at his disposal, he took careful aim. With the arrow, now crooked and aimed true, he whispered a silent prayer to the goddesses and let it fly. As if in answer to his silent prayer, the quarrel hit the creature in the heart. Letting out one last, mighty roar, the creature fell to the ground, never to rise again.
Many lifetimes later, many heroes and monsters past, a darkness looms just outside the kingdom borders. Dakrness has again returned and it will not rest until the sacred Tri-Force belongs to it...
And so the Legend continues...
