MOVING ON



Trying to completely wrap his head over the news from the night before, he walked around the lake in a daze. Stopping, he noticed the Venus stood there and said, “I'm sorry about the news that I have given you last night, but you had to know the truth.” Link nodded. “I know. It's just a lot to wrap my head around. I'm going to need time to sort things out. I never knew my parents. He's lucky that his were there for him. I know that sounds a little stupid, but...”

Venus replied, “He's been in the same situation his whole life. It is a terrible burden to be two people with a common background such as the one you both share.” Link nodded. “I know. I guess I should be happy. I know the truth. After all these years, I finally know. It's a bittersweet victory, but it's the one that escaped me my whole life.” Saria yelled, “Link! Shadow! Come on! We have to GO!!!” Venus said softly, “Remember what I have told you. It is up to both of you to do this task, not just one.”

Link nodded and joined the others at the spring that the queen called her home. Standing there, she said, “Step into the spring, and you will arrive where you need to go.” Nodding, Link said in a less than enthusiastic voice, “Okay then. Off to Skeleton Marsh.” Shadow gave the elf a worried look and said, “Let's do this.” They stepped into the spring until completely submerged.

When they surfaced again, They found themselves surrounded by blowing sands that stung the skin painfully. Shouting over the wind, Shadow yelled, “Something happened! This isn't the Marsh!” Link yelled back, “Then where are we?” Pointing to an object that looked like The Great Deku Tree, only lifeless, he yelled, “The Desert of Deku! No man's land itself! The place where even the monsters fear to tread!!!”
