CHAPTER III
NOT THIS THING AGAIN!
“I hate machines! I swear they’re out to get me!” – Sonic after his computer caught fire.
The group now stood on the hull of the capital ship and Sonic beamed, “I’d say that was a pretty good plan.” Tails said in a hurt voice, “You’re not the one who’ll have to pay for them. I’m going to lose my clearance again.” The blue haired teen pat him on the back, saying, “Hey look on the bright side. We’re on the ship and more ships will be here soon.” Shadow cleared his throat. “Uh, I destroyed the airstrip, remember?” The group now realized the rather large hole in the planning process up to their current point.
At that moment, the black haired man got hit by Amy’s hammer as she yelled, “You bloody MORON! Because of you we’re in this alone!!!” Shadow let out a loud groan and muttered, “Do you guys hear clanking metal getting closer?” They turned and saw a large army of Swat Bots approaching. Shadow got to his feet and drew a pair of pistols. “Well, well. Looks like we’ve got a housewarming party. Sonic snapped his hand to the side and a magnificent blade appeared in his hand. He smiled and said, “Let’s see how well these things hold up against chaos.”
Shadow looked at him and said, “Just don’t get in my way. With that, the black haired teen opened fire on the robots and Sonic prepared to strike. Just as he was about to charge, he heard something approaching from above. He looked up and say the machine known as Metal Sonic and yelled, “Great! Not this thing again!” The machine hovered slowly to the ground in a menacing fashion. Shadow aimed his pistols at the machine and opened fire, but with no affect on it’s armored body.
Sonic ran at it and made an upward, arching swing with the blade. Metal Sonic moved out of the way of the attack and swung at the teen, delivering a solid blow to his abdomen. He was sent flying into the wall. Sonic groaned as he struggled to his feet, muttering, “The guy writing this must really have it in for me.” he machine picked him up and threw him clean across the deck of the ship. Sonic landed and slid to a stop, almost falling off the craft entirely. Amy yelled in shock, “Sonic! NO!”
The sky turned black as the ambient energies poured out of her body. Knuckles yelled, “Everyone! Take cover!” everyone except for Sonic, who was trying to stand, took shelter as thousands upon thousands of blades fell from the heavens and into the capital ship. After the metal rain stopped, sonic stood up and saw that he just barely avoided being turned into a human pincushion. Looking at the completely skewered machine, he yelled, “How about a little warning next time!” Tails ran from his hiding place to the now unconscious Amy’s side.
The rest of the group joined him and the teen said, ‘The spell was too strong for her. She’s completely drained of all her energy.” Shadow looked at him and said, “So, until she get’s her strength back, she’s going to be no use to us. We should leave her here and move on with the mission.” Sonic clenched his fist in rage and turned to his lookalike. He wound back and delivered a devastating punch to the man’s face, yelling, “You bastard!” The black haired male gave him an enraged look and Sonic continued, “We are not leaving anyone behind! We came here as a team, and dammit, we are leaving as one!”
Shadow sneered, “If you want to be slowed down by her, then suit yourself. I’m going to find Eggman and settle this fight once and for all.” Without another word, he turned and walked off. Knuckles turned to the blue haired youth and said, “Someone had better go after him. We can’t afford to split up.” Sonic yelled, “Screw him! If he wants to go off and get himself killed, then let him. There’s no room on this team for bastards like him!” At that moment, Shadow went soaring overhead and over the side of the ship. They turned and saw another Metal Sonic standing in the middle of the blade covered deck.
“How many of these things does blubber-butt have?” Sonic groaned. Getting to his feet, he prepared to attack the machine. Metal Sonic vanished from where he was standing and Sonic followed suit. Shortly, the two of them appeared, grappling each other. They pushed off and vanished again. They constantly reappeared and vanished again as they landed swift, powerful strikes to one another. Finally, Sonic went flying into the far wall of the ship and slumped to the ground, unconscious. The machine started walking towards the rest of the group to finish the threat.

On the control deck, the tyrant known as Doctor Eggman smiled as the group got dragged into the room by Swat Bots, led by The machine called Metal Sonic. Eggman laughed and said, “So, these are the pathetic insects that foiled my plan to control Chaos. Well, fortunately, I found a new source of infinite power. With the power I’m taking from the Master Emerald, I will be unstoppable. Put them in the containment tanks.”
