CHAPTER IV
NOW I’M PISSED
“Did you hear a loud bang?”
“Did you see a bright flash?”
(in unison)“Oh, crap” – Conversation between Tails and Sonic when Tails left his prototype fuel source unattended a little too long.
Sonic walked through the deserted streets of Knothole Valley, looking around hoping to find his prey. He was determined to find the cursed Nazo and the traitorous Shadow so that he could exact his vengeance. As he walked, a horde of undead started heading towards him. He snapped his hand to the side and summoned forth his Chaos Blade. He looked at the creatures and said, “I’m only going to say this once. I’m tired, pissed and I’m not going to tolerate any of you undead bastards trying to slow me down! So get the HELL out of my way!!!”
The zombies looked at the one next to them for a moment before charging at the now black armored warrior. Sonic charged at the creatures and started slashing at them mercilessly. Before long, all the undead monsters lay slain at his feet. He looked to the sky and yelled, “Come on, Nazo! Send as many of your freaks at me as you like! I’m not going to give up until I have completely sliced you into a million pieces and fed what’s left of you to your own monsters!”
A voice from above him said, “Really? Do you honestly think that you stand a chance against me?” Sonic looked up and saw Nazo on the top of one of the buildings. He dashed at the wall, got a foothold and charged up the surface. When he reached the top of the building, he slashed at the creature who vanished before he could make contact. However, Sonic was a step ahead of the amazing speed. He had already lunged at the creature before he even got there.
Nazo vanished again and yet again was intercepted. This time, the creature hovered high above the roof of the building and looked down at the blue haired warrior. “Your attacks are useless, young fool. You can’t hit me at this height.” Sonic smiled and said in a dark voice as the dark energy filled his body, “That’s what you think.” He snapped his blade to the side and it started to glow with the dark energy that consumed his body. He then yelled, “Final Slash!” and repeatedly slashed a in the direction of Nazo.
Multiple waves of energy shot from the blade and cut towards the monster. On impact, the waves exploded and Dark Sonic let out an evil grin. when the smoke cleared, Nazo was not there. He turned around and saw the destroyer standing there with a several deep cuts on his body. Nazo said in an evil hiss, “You haven’t won this fight, Mortal. I’ll be waiting for you, and I promise you that I will not be caught off guard again.” With that, the creature vanished. Sonic smiled and said, “Of course you won’t. That’s because next time, I’ll kill you.” He looked at the sky and saw more wraiths coming towards him. He smiled and said in a hollow voice, “Perfect. I was just thinking it would be nice to work off some steam.”
As the monsters neared, he ran in their direction, leaping from roof to roof, picking up speed. He leaped at the Wraiths and started slashing at them, jumping from the first one and removing it’s head to the next, repeating the process. On the last one, he repeatedly stabbed it in the back, making it fall to the ground. Once it was grounded, he held the blade to it’s neck and said, “If you want to live a little longer, you’re going to take me right to Nazo, Do you understand?”
The creature let out a screech and the teen smiled, “Good. Now start flying and don’t do anything to piss me off any more than I already am.” With that, the creature took to the air, it’s unwanted passenger upon it’s back.
