CHAPTER VI
SUPER SONIC VS. HYPER NAZO
“You’ll never guess what I heard from this mute guy!” – Tails before remembering to think before he speaks.
The two stood there, gauging one another before making the first move. Nazo smiled and said, “I didn’t last all these countless millennia by underestimating my opponent. I think I should power up just a little more.” He then walked over to Shadow and stood on top of him. Suddenly, he dissolved into the corpse’s body. Shadow rose to his feet, radiating a dark aura that actually glowed black. Nazo smiled and said, “Now you will have to fight me in my truest form. I am now Hyper Nazo.”
Sonic nodded, saying, “Yeah, yeah, yeah. Hyper blah, blah, blah. Take some Ritalin and shut the hell up!” A vein appeared on Nazo’s forehead as he yelled, “That was not what I meant!” Sonic simply shrugged and pulled out a prescription bottle and administered himself two tablets. Nazo looked at him and asked, “What was that?” The golden armored warrior shrugged and replied, “Ritalin.”
“By the gods,” Nazo muttered. “You were actually serious.” Sonic looked at him and charged with his blade in hand. His foe effortlessly dodged the attack and Sonic attempted another strike. This time, Nazo vanished and reappeared a fair distance away. Sonic sighed. “Uh, how do you plan to hit me from way over there?”
At that moment, chains with bladed tips soared at the teen. Sonic quickly moved in an evasive pattern, yelling, “Hey! No Fair!” He continued to dodge. He moved at supersonic speed, but the chains kept up. Pushing off a nearby vehicle, he took to the sky and began evading in the air. Nazo laughed and said, “It’s futile to try to avoid my Chaos Chains. They’ll match your speed and move accordingly until they slay you.” Sonic smiled and said, “Let’s test that, huh?”
He then moved towards Nazo, with the chains keeping up. As he passed his foe, he began to circle him with the chains in close pursuit. After a series of passes, Nazo was completely ensnared by his own weapon with no more slack to exact an offensive. Sonic landed and readied his blade, saying, “Now to finish this!” He charged at the creature do deliver the deathblow when the chains shattered. Thousands of fragments came at him and the teen yelled, “You have got to be kidding me!”
He put up a defense, but the blades proved to be too many. Sonic was literally sliced do death by the blades.

Sonic found himself in an endless white abyss, surrounded by Amy, Tails, Knuckles and Shadow. The black armored male muttered, “Dead already. Boy, that’s disappointing.” Sonic looked to the infinite whiteness, saying, “Don’t talk to me, traitor.” Knuckles said, “Traitor? That’s a little cold, since all of this was kind of planned.” Amy nodded. “I knew that those ghouls couldn’t be killed at the level you were at. You were being held back, by all of us.”
Shadow continued, “You might be getting better with that sword of yours, but you’re still a long way from being as good as me.” Knuckles nodded. “It’s true. We were holding you back, so we had to take ourselves out of the picture.”
“I was the one who ordered Shadow to kill me,” tails commented. “You wouldn’t be able to fight Nazo if you had to protect us at the same time. So we decided to die, one by one so that you would fight at your fullest.”
A tear rolled down Sonic’s cheek as he said, “You guys were my strength. You guys are the reason I kept fighting. Now you’re dead. Why do I have to keep fighting? It’s hopeless.” Shadow smiled. “Not quite. This was carefully planned by Tails.” The young genius nodded. “That’s right. The entire idea was to get Nazo into Shadows body.” Sonic turned to them and asked, “Why? Now he’s unstoppable.”
Shadow laughed sinisterly. “How can he be unstoppable in a mortal host? He can be killed just like any other mortal.” Sonic shook his head. “He’s too powerful.” A familiar female voice said, “Well, that does sound like a problem.” A more sinister female voice said, “I guess we’ll just have to lend him ours, don’t you?”
Sonic yelled, “Mom?” Violet smiled and said, “Now, Sonic. Don’t get carried away when we send you back. You won’t be able to summon your sword, but neither will Nazo.” Tikal appeared out of nowhere and said, “With all of us giving you our strength, you will draw your power directly from the Master Emerald. Now go back and give him Hell.”

Nazo stood in the obliterated city and laughed. “Now, no one can stand against me in the entire universe. Ultimate destruction and pure chaos will dominate the cosmos.” a voice came from behind him, a little too calm for even his comfort, saying, “You’ll have to get through me first.” Nazo turned around and saw Sonic rising to his feet. The warrior looked at him as he turned Super Sonic, saying, “You took everything from this world, and now I’m going to take that from you, including your life.”
Nazo smiled and said, “How do you plan to do that against a creature of infinite power?” Sonic smiled as the energy that surrounded his body grew brighter. “How do I plan to do that?” His appearance started to change again. His armor turned silver with prismatic refractions of light and his hair followed immediately after that. He stood there with pure, unbridled power from the energies of the Gods of Order, saying, “By being too stupid to die. Too stupid to be weak." A powerful shockwave shot out of the warrior's body as he yelled, "By being too stupid to not become stronger than the likes of you.”
